Ok, so obviously I am really terrible at this blogging thing so I'm out to make a better effort on blogging here on Pierceson's site and Carpe Diem's site. So here it goes...
Since I last blogged 6 months ago, Pierceson has turned two! He had a train birthday party and his family and friends were here to celebrate with him. A magazine out of Charlotte called "Little Ones Magazine" actually came and documented his big day for their birthday party issue. They put together an amazing two page layout with tons of pictures and gave advice on how to duplicate a party like his! We're so happy to have had the opportunity to document his big day through a magazine that is scattered all around Charlotte. Here are some pictures from his big day...

We had so much fun and I can't believe my baby is almost 2 1/2 now! Ok, that's it for now but I WILL do a better job at blogging and my goal is about 2 or 3 times a week!!

Well it's time to upload all of the pictures that have accumulated on our camera from the past few weeks!

Pierceson just got over...wait for it...his THIRD time for having strep throat in 7 weeks. We're taking it very easy this time around and making sure and hoping for a full recovery so we can do all of the fun things you're supposed to do during the summer! Poor child hasn't had a playdate or been on his swingset in weeks and he hasn't even gotten to go swimming yet! We're taking him to an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist on Friday to double check his pediatricians and to make sure it's nothing to do with his tonsils or anything else. Being that their specialists, they know a little more in the area than his pediatricians so we're just covering all of the bases! As of right now and the past few days, maybe 5 days or so, Pierceson's been his normal self. He went to the doctor Monday for a follow up and he doesn't have an ear infection or redness in his throat so I think we've kicked the strep - but I've learned my lesson not to speak too soon!

My mom came to visit for WHOLE week and we got her all to ourselves so that was great! Unfortunately when she did come I was just getting over a sinus infection and Pierceson got strep while she was here so we didn't get to do all of the fun things I had planned for us but the benefit is I had my mom here to take care of not only me but also help with Pierceson - and everyone knows no one takes better care of you than your Momma! let him get away with anything! I guePierceson loves her because...like all of his other grandparents...she gives him whatever he wants and that's what they're supposed to do! We had a lot of fun while she was here and made a trip to Target to buy all of the remaining toys that they have to offer that he didn't already have! You'd be surprised at how hard it was to find toys that this child didn't already have!...we need a bigger house for all of his toys alone!!!

...with that said...we're moving! Not just because Pierceson's toys are outgrowing our house but also because WE are outgrowing our house. It's an older home but we LOOOVE it! Lots of fun wallpaper and shag carpet so it fits mine and Jon's personality! We're very excited and if everything goes as planned we will move in on August 1st which gives me just over a month to pack this whole house - should be interesting!

Ok...I've babbled enough so here are some pictures from the previous weeks. More to come after this weekend since it's Father's Day and my dad's birthday! Enjoy!

Mother's Day

We celebrated our second Mother's Day by playing all day, coloring on the sidewalk, and spending time with family. Here's a few from the day and a few from just the past couple of weeks.

Pierceson's New Blog

Easter 2009
Christmas 2008

Pierceson's only great-grandmother

I am by no means a "blogger" but I figured this would be a great way to keep everyone up-to-date on Pierceson with pictures and such. All I have to do is update here and everyone can look at thier leisure!

So...here we go! Pierceson is now 18 months old and hasn't really been sick at all....until now. For the past month he's had strep throat twice, two ear infections, pityriasis, and now pneumonia. Hopefully we've got it all figured out now and he'll start to feel better. We'll see how that works out but for now - here's some pictures of Pierceson. I'll update this later when he starts to feel better!
